Singalila Hiker’s Campsite is located on the lap of Singalila National park, which is surrounded by the high mountanious evergreen forest & flora and fauna like red, white Rhododendron, medicinal plants, Himalayan trees & different speces of natural Orchids. The Singalila National park is the home of several rare wild animals like red Panda, Himalayan black beer, leopard, black panther and barking deer etc. The park is also a great pleasure for bird watchers as more than 120 spices of birds which included many rare birds like Scarlet, Minivet, Kalish Pheasant, blood Pheasant and other variety of small Queen birds. Sandakphu (altitude 3636 m)is the highest Tourist destination of Singalila National park Darjeeling( WB) Spread over 78.60sq km. This is a trackers paradise and very popular for its tracking trails. Tracking is peak during March and April when Rhododendron and Orchids bloom. Tracking from Sandakphu to Phalut is the most favoured tracking destinations of Singalila ridge of Darjeeling Himalayas. Both the points offers beautiful views of World highest peaks Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga.

Best time visit: March, April and May(flower season), September, October, November (festive season) December, January, February (winter snowfall season.

How to reach: By Air: the nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport and it is 6hrs drive to Singalila Hiker’s Campsite Shrikhola by hire local taxi. By Train: NJP railway station and then get a transfer from NJP to Singalila hikers campsite 6.30hrs by hire local taxi.
